Standish, Mich. - The Standish-Sterling Panthers (12-5) allowed just one basket to the Millington Cardinals (9-6) in the second quarter, guiding them to a 21-13 halftime lead they never let go in the second half. The Panthers have sole possession of second place in the TVC-Blue after their 44-37 victory.
Millington has yet to defeat Standish-Sterling since the schools have been in the same division, starting in the 2020-21 season.

Panthers' sophomore Jensyn Machala made five threes, four in the first half, 12 of her 17 points.
For the Cardinals, junior Reese Gohsman led with 13. Foul trouble limited her second-half minutes, fouling out with 37 seconds remaining. Gohsman's transition offense and relentless rebounding kept Millington within striking distance in the final five minutes.
