Zander Wheatley is the Scholar Athlete of the Month

Zander Wheatley of Freeland High School is the Scholar Athlete of the Month, presented by Fisher Companies.

Zander is a three-sport athlete in football, basketball and track & field. In track he was a state finalist in the 300 hurdles, he’ll be playing football next year at Saginaw Valley State and was a member of the Freeland state championship basketball team.

In the classroom, Zander maintains a 4.01 GPA. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the student council president. He plans on majoring in biology and minor in exercise science at SVSU.

John Vicari talked with Zander to discuss his academic and athletic achievements and present a certificate of recognition.
