This Week on The Mitt: February 5th - February 11th

The Payoff, the Great Lakes Bay Region's only local sports talk show, is on Monday-Thursday this week. Ben Bosscher and John Vicari will talk all things Michigan and the big game. Text in or leave a voicemail at 989-837-6125 to have your voice heard.

Two of the biggest voices in Michigan sports are on the Mitt, every weekday. The Huge Show airs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and X's and Bros with Anthony Bellino gets your day started from 6 am to 9 am. 

Weekly Schedule on The Mitt - February 5th - February 11th

On Thursday and Friday night, you'll hear the premier high school basketball games in the area. 

Thursday, Heritage plays Saginaw, a game rescheduled from January 23rd. The Trojans are the best team in the boys Saginaw Valley League, unbeaten in conference play. The Hawks have just one league loss, but since then have won five straight. 

On Friday, second place in the Tri-Valley Conference-Blue is up for grabs. The Standish-Sterling girls' varsity basketball team tries to defend home court in a matchup with Millington. 

In the college ranks, the Northwood Basketball Coaches Show is tonight at 7 p.m. Travis McCurdy talks with both coaches and star players from the men's and women's Timberwolves basketball programs live from Frick's Sports Bar. 

Michigan State Men's Basketball, a projected 11 seed according to Fox Sports Mike DeCourcy, has two chances to beef up their resume. Tuesday night, the Spartans hit the road facing the Minnesota Golden Gophers. MSU is tied for fourth in the Big Ten, while Minnesota is fifth.

Michigan State has its hardest home game of the season, with the currently ranked No. 14 Illinois Fighting Illini coming to the Breslin Center on Saturday afternoon.

Then, of course, this Sunday is Super Bowl LVIII. Westwood One's coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Full pregame, in-game, and postgame commentary of the big game is right here!
