Midland, Mich. - The Nouvel Catholic Central Panthers (12-3) extended their winning streak to 12 games, beating the Bullock Creek Lancers (8-7) 83-60. Seniors Donny and M.J. Yeager scored 58 of the 83 points posted by the Panthers.
Donny's long-range shooting squelched a 5-0 Lancers run that began the contest. The senior guard had nine in the first quarter, and Nouvel led 19-14 entering the second.
After relying on the deep ball in the first eight minutes, the Panthers forced turnovers leading to transition finishes inside the paint. M.J. Yeager tacked on 16 of his 27 total, in the second quarter. Three from the free throw line, four from the field, and only one from behind the arc.
The Lancers launched and made five threes in the first half, they were held to three in the second half. Bullock Creek junior Ryan Long had nine through the first half and was held to only three in the second.
The Yaeger brothers' shooting clinic continued, combining for six made three-pointers, three for Donny and M.J. in the second half. They persisted at point, alternating in the fourth quarter.

Rounding Things Out
Bullock Creek boasted three double-digit scorers. Long, senior Landon Tarkowski totaled 10, and Zane Schwartz scored 12. Junior Maddox Sinclair brought the Lancers to 60; with a made basket followed by a big pop from the crowd.
Nouvel junior guard Rodney Iamurri added eight points off the bench. Three Panthers had four, senior guard Matthew Hartwell, senior forward Preston Otter, and junior center Jack Wilson.
