The contest saw four lead changes and three instances where the game was tied.

Entering the third period, the score was even 2-2. 36 seconds into the period, Midland senior Cayden Nieto from the Chemics blue line fired it past an unsuspecting Dow defense and goalie.

The Chargers, trailing for the third time on the evening, scored four unanswered goals. Junior Mason Ramsey, a minute and 28 seconds after the Nieto goal, provided the equalizer with a wrist shot from the right circle.

Senior Remington Lough netted his second of the night, the go-ahead goal, jumping on a loose puck at the left circle. Lough now has seven goals in nine games played.

Dow would add two more, with Midland netting the contest's final tally after the Chemics pulled their goal with three minutes to go.

Ashton Reinke would score the sixth Dow goal, the fourth different goal scorer for the Chargers.
