Midland, MI - Three third-period goals secured a season sweep for the Dow Chargers (14-4-0) against the Midland Chemics (8-5-1), winning tonight 3-0 at Midland Civic Arena.

After an even first period, Dow dominated the second period. The Chargers outshot the Chemics 24-0, but the score did not change. Sophomore goalie Andrew Partipilo stopped every shot, with Dow going 0-for-3 on the power play through the first 34 minutes.
Dow broke through in the third period. As a power play just expired, Junior Caden Nemeth went top shelf with 11:58 left in the game, to draw first blood.
The Chargers would add two more goals. Senior Ethan Menzies cashed in on a loose pick between the circles with 4:12 remaining, and Senior Nolan Harris buried an empty net goal in the final 10 seconds.
It is the first time Midland has been shut out this season.
